Photo announcement cards include birth announcements, Sweet 16, communion, confirmation, wedding, graduation, retirement, marriage, party invitations, Christmas, New Years, Valentines Day and other holidays.
Each custom photo card and invitation is created using a variety of photos. There are several different cards to choose from with several textures. Your photos are digitally enhanced and artistically combined with your wording to create a beautiful collection of type, photos and backgrounds that I am sure you will love. There are several designs you can choose from but keep in mind I can also create something custom for you. The cards are created using the professional photos from your photo session. Once you have reviewed your photos from your session you will choose a few for the design on your card. I can minimize wrinkles, remove red eye, brighten, etc., then I will crop and combine your photos with your wording and design layout. I will use my best judgment on creating a custom design using your pictures and font. I can also create these photo cards using your favorite digital camera images, traditional prints, or professional photos with copyright release from the photographer. Always take photos at the highest resolution setting your camera allows. Please do not crop or edit your photos in any way. I will do all the editing for you. Please make sure your images are in jpg. format.
You will receive an emailed proof for review. During this time you can take the opportunity to make any changes before approving your proof. Once I receive an approval from you I will begin printing. Please make sure there are NO mistakes and that you reviewed your proof several times. Please do not be in a rush to approve your proof because many times this is when mistakes are overlooked. Errors not caught on the proof are the responsibility of the customers. Orders that need to be reprinted because of errors will have a re-printing fee. This cost will be half the amount of your original order.
Photo Tips
Always take photos at the highest resolution setting your camera allows. Wear colorful clothing. White or very light colored clothing will tend to wash out the face. Light colored backgrounds are the best. Please avoid black or very dark backgrounds (especially behind the head). Take photos outside or near a sunny window. Sunset is a great time. Avoid taking photos indoors at night with your flash--this will create harsh, dark backgrounds and unnatural skin tones. Natural light is always the most flattering. On sunny days, use your flash. Using a flash outdoors can soften shadows in people pictures, such as those cast by the bill of a cap.
Most digital cameras have a delay and especially with children you don't always get the shot you want. The solution to that is frame your subject, press the shutter button half way down, you will feel the camera focus and make its settings. Then wait, leaving pressure on the button. When you have the right moment, press the button all the way down and take the picture. Try this technique and you will capture the picture you want.
